Tech Help

One-hour Tech Help sessions are regularly available on weekdays at Gladstone Library and by arrangement at Calliope Library. Bookings are essential. Book yourself online or ask staff at any of our libraries.

Saturday Tech — 30-minute sessions are provided on selected dates at Gladstone Library. Bookings are preferred but drop-in help is often available depending on demand.

The Precinct Library has one-hour Tech Help sessions on selected dates. Bookings are essential and can be made until 3pm the afternoon before.

One-hour Tech Help sessions are available at Agnes Water Library on the fourth Tuesday of the month and at Miriam Vale Library on the third Tuesday of the month. Bookings are preferred but drop-in help may be possible depending on demand.

Boyne Island Library has 30-minute Tech Help sessions on the 1st Tuesday and 3rd Thursday of the month. Appointments are scheduled between 10.30am and 1pm. Bookings can be made online or by contacting one of our libraries.

Our Tech Help program allows you to choose your own topic and learn at your own pace. Book an individual learning session or bring along a friend or two and learn together! We provide help for adults of all ages.

Ask us about:

  • help with your mobile phone, tablet, or laptop or with using the resources in our eLibrary.
  • using our library catalogue to find, reserve, renew, or request items!
  • help with researching your family history
  • email – set up, create, reply or forward, and more…
  • help with using the Be Connected online training videos and similar resources.

Please note: we do not assist with things such as technical issues with devices, telecommunication/SIM problems, or removing viruses. For such matters contact a computer technician or your service provider.

Digital literacy and technology help is also available to library members via our eLibrary. 

eLearning via online self-paced digital device and technology courses is available from Be Connected, InfoBase, and LinkedIn Learning.
