Computers and Printing
Free Wi-Fi
Free wireless internet is available during library hours at all branches of Gladstone Regional Libraries. Login details vary slightly between library branches, please ask our friendly staff for assistance if required. Wi-Fi printing is not currently available.
Public Access Computers
All staffed branches of Gladstone Regional Libraries have public computers for accessing the internet and MS Office programs.
- Computers can be used for 1 hour per day per person (longer periods may be permitted depending on availability).
- Request a computer at the library staff desk (you will need to provide your first name).
- Children under 12 must be supervised by an adult at the computers.
Printing is only available from the library’s public internet computers or from a USB stick (scroll to the bottom of this page for prices).
Staff Assistance
Some assistance with computers, printing, photocopying, scanning, or digital devices may be available by staff. Assistance is limited to approximately ten minutes at a time.
For more in-depth help or assistance with multiple things we have a Tech Help program. Sessions are scheduled for specific dates and times for individuals to learn at their own pace, or to bring a friend to learn together. Bookings are essential. For more information go to our Tech Help page.

Public Computer and Internet Access Conditions
Our free public computers and the Internet must be used in a responsible and informed way. Although all care is taken to ensure a virus free computer for public use, this cannot be guaranteed.
Adults are responsible for close supervision of their children aged 12 and under whilst in the computer area.
Gladstone Regional Libraries does not censor access to material nor protect clients from information they may deem offensive. However, users should recognise that other members of the public will have full view of the computer and should be mindful of what sites they access on the Internet.
Illegal acts involving the use of resources may be subject to prosecution by local, state or federal authorities. Unacceptable and illegal use includes, but is not limited to:
- Copying software
- Using or installing own programs on any computer
- Accessing system/administration areas of a computer or changing default settings
- Damaging or destroying equipment, software, or data belonging to Gladstone Regional Libraries or other clients.
- Unauthorised monitoring of electronic communications.
- Intentional unauthorised copying of copyright protected material or infringement of license agreements and other contracts.
- Attempted or actual violation of any computer network’s security system.
- Violation of the privacy of individuals or entities that are creators, authors, users, or subjects of any information resources.
- Harassing, insulting, slandering, or libelling other patrons/customers or staff.
Non-compliance with the above conditions may result in access being restricted or denied and staff instructing you to leave the area.

Gladstone Regional Libraries is not able to guarantee access to the Internet, or particular sites, or that the service will meet user expectations. By accessing the library computers or Wi-Fi you will be deemed to have released and discharged Gladstone Regional Libraries and Gladstone Regional Council of all liability in respect of any defamatory material or viruses.
3D Printing Services
3D printers are available at Boyne Island Library, and Gladstone City Library. 3D print files can be sent to the libraries and a staff member will provide you with a quote and date for completion. The 3D Printing Information document is available for your perusal.

Charges
All printing charges are per page and double-sided is charged as two pages. Prices are listed in the table below.
Printing School Assignments and Homework
Our libraries provide free black & white photocopying and printing for school assignments and homework to a maximum of $5 per student per visit. The school student must be present and have a copy of their homework/assignment sheet.
Please note: free printing applies only to homework/assignments for primary and secondary students. It does not apply to printing coursework or curriculum /lesson plans.
