Out and About Library
Out and About Library is a van-based service for you to browse and borrow, collect reserves, return items, or request help with our library apps.
Open the Out & About brochure via the orange button below to view dates, times, and locations (check for school holiday changes).
Our van visits each site fortnightly (except school holidays for some locations). Wartburg, Lowmead, & Rosedale are visited on a Wednesday and Boyne Valley on Wednesday of the alternate week. We go to Bororen on Monday mornings and Yarwun on Friday afternoons.
Check our Out and About Library brochure for details by clicking here or on the orange button above. Or contact Gladstone Library on 07 4976 6400 or library@gladstone.qld.gov.au for more details.

What do we have?
Our Out and About Library van has a small collection for you to browse, including fiction and non-fiction books for adults, teens, and children, large print books, picture books, magazines, CDs, audio books, and DVDs. Up to twenty items of any type can be borrowed for a three week period.
You can reserve an item from any of our libraries for free and borrow it from your chosen library, including the Out and About Library van!
Not already a member?
You can join the library online before you visit or join on the day at the van. Suitable photo ID with your name is required, plus an official document with your current address (if different to your photo ID).
