Gladstone Regional Libraries’ TechTime will be running a new Digital Literacy for Adults program in July and August: Adults Code Too – Beginner Scratch.
The classes will be held in the Meeting Room at Gladstone City Library every Tuesday from 23rd July to 20th August from 1 to 2:30 pm and adults can learn about the Scratch drag-and-drop coding program. The classes are for adults only and free!
No coding experience is required and you can attend one or several of the sessions. Learn how to create an animated picture or simple game or just what your children or grandchildren learn at school. Scratch has been used as an introduction to coding for university students in America as it focuses on the skills of logic, reasoning, and sequencing.
Bring you own laptop or book one of the library’s to use on the day. You can sign up to Scratch before the session (or we can help you to do so) at https://scratch.mit.edu/
Bookings are required (let us know if you need to use a library laptop) as spaces are limited.
To book: ask at one of our libraries, phone 4976 6400, or email firstname.lastname@example.org
